Dr. Tom Miller is a nationally recognized expert in charter school leadership, governance, and strategic planning. As the author of The Ten Indicators of High-Performing Charter Schools and a Global Gurus Top 30 Education Leader, Tom has spent over 20 years helping school leaders strengthen governance, develop strategic plans, and lead more effectively.
A John Maxwell-certified leadership coach, expert in Cialdini’s Ethical Influence & Persuasion, and DISC leadership consultant, Tom has led multiple schools through crisis management, governance challenges, and strategic turnarounds. He has served as an interim executive director for nine charter schools in crisis and previously worked as a statewide consultant for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
